Recent Projects
FULHAM
This Victorian floor features a beautiful and rarely-seen shade of blue. Following a deep clean and seal to stop any dirt permeating the surface of the tile, the customer could once again appreciate this gem.
TWICKENHAM
After a change in layout to this hallway, this floor's border needed to be moved to run long the face of a new wall. It is important that the border intersects the tiles in the field at the right place, so after some careful calculation, this beautiful floor looks perfectly paired with the room's new layout.
BRIXTON
This hallway floor was horribly discoloured by deeply embedded grime, masking its subtle but pretty border and scheme. It also had areas with large cracks that needed replacing. As usual, repairs, a deep clean and a seal had it looking as good as new.
SOUTH ACTON
Degradation of the concrete base below the corner of this hallway floor meant that many tiles cracked and came loose. A new base was poured and the pattern relaid with new tiles where needed. We always try to preserve and reuse original tiles where possible and many were used here. Once cleaned and sealed, the customer was left with a striking floor with beautiful bright blue accents.
HIGHBURY AND ISLINGTON
The tile scheme for this floor ended abruptly as it transitioned into the black slate tiles beyond. We carefully extraced the field tiles next to the slate and relaid the border to fit the geometry. Accompanied by fixes of cracked and damaged tiles in other parts of the floor, this change left the hallway looking refreshed and complete.
BRIXTON
This hallway had a fitted coir door mat hiding the floor, which was in good condition for its age, below. After removal of the mat and edging, we replaced any cracked tiles and gave it a deep clean and seal. As you can see, the restoration did a great job of bringing the floor's colours back to life.
PARSONS GREEN
The tile scheme of this Victorian path was disturbed by the presence of solid concrete fill. Likely added as a hurried repair following previous damage. Necessary precautions were taken during removal of this section to ensure no damage was caused to the surrounding area. Suitable modern replacements were laid in place of the missing tiles before the path was finally regrouted and cleaned.
